This role requires a proactive approach to drafting and reviewing statutorily required notices, pleadings, correspondence, and court filings. Additionally, you will be expected to attend and argue motions and hearings in bankruptcy and federal courts throughout North Carolina, ensuring your clients’ interests are protected and advanced at every stage.

Bankruptcy Attorney - Summary- Full-time Bankruptcy Attorney role specializing in creditor’s rights and bankruptcy law
- Remote-based with periodic in-person court appearances throughout North Carolina
- Opportunity to work with a nationally recognized law firm
- Key focus on representing secured and unsecured creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings
- Represent institutional clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including both secured and unsecured creditors
- Manage the full lifecycle of creditor bankruptcy matters: plan confirmations, motions for relief from stay, contested matters, and adversary proceedings
- Draft, review, and approve legal notices, pleadings, correspondence, and court filings
- Respond to written inquiries, disputes, and legal correspondence
- Attend and argue motions and hearings in bankruptcy and federal courts in North Carolina
- Participate in mediations and negotiations as required
- Provide strategic guidance to clients throughout the bankruptcy process
- Oversee and collaborate with legal support staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of legal filings

- Active admission to North Carolina State, Federal, and Bankruptcy Courts, with CM/ECF filing credentials
- At least two years’ experience representing creditors in bankruptcy or insolvency matters
- Strong working knowledge of secured creditor issues
