As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process, including handling complex invoicing requirements, supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners. Your expertise in financial systems such as Deltek Costpoint and PIEE/WAWF, as well as your ability to communicate effectively and maintain meticulous records, will be essential for success in this role. Billing Specialist - Summary
- Serve as a key contributor to Decypher’s financial operations, supporting the CFO and ensuring accurate billing for professional healthcare services.
- Collaborate with internal leadership and external government contacts to uphold compliance and efficiency in billing processes.
- Leverage advanced financial software and reporting tools to manage and track payments, resolve discrepancies, and provide critical financial insights.
- Play an active role in supporting Decypher’s mission to deliver quality care to service members, veterans, and their families.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the CFO with financial and billing operations, ensuring compliance with all contract requirements.
- Manage monthly and periodic billings using Deltek Costpoint and other financial systems relevant to government contracts.
- Submit and track invoices via PIEE/WAWF and PIEE/MyInvoice, adapting to customer-specific billing platforms.
- Monitor and track DFAS and customer payments, ensuring timely receipt and reconciliation of funds.
- Coordinate with Government Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) and other stakeholders to resolve billing and payment matters efficiently.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports to Delivery Managers and company leadership, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Assist in the development of reports related to billing activities, including subcontractor integration and operational issue resolution.
- Set up and maintain project and employee data in Deltek Costpoint per contract specifications.
- Report on outstanding billings to the CFO on a regular basis and provide backup support for critical finance and accounting functions as needed.
- Coordinate subcontractor invoicing, including data entry and collaboration with the Subcontracts Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is required for all candidates.
- Prior use of PIEE/WAWF and PIEE/MyInvoice systems preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external contacts effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship is required to meet government contract requirements.
