Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including both elective and emergency cases
- Perform endoscopic and open vein harvesting as needed
- Conduct daily inpatient rounding to monitor patient progress and address clinical needs
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients
- Provide inpatient consultations and contribute to comprehensive patient management plans
- Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing teams, and multidisciplinary specialists to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Participate in a shared call rotation to support continuous patient care coverage

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
- Eligible for or in possession of an Arizona state license as a Physician Assistant
- Prior operating room experience is required, with a preference for those experienced in vein harvesting
- Cardiothoracic surgery experience is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
