We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic anesthesia team. This position is ideal for experienced CRNAs seeking a collaborative, patient-focused environment. As a CRNA, you will be a crucial member of the anesthesia care team, working closely with physicians, residents, anesthesia technicians, and patient support assistants to ensure safe and effective anesthesia services for a variety of procedures.
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for delivering high-quality anesthesia care in a rural hospital setting. The work schedule offers flexibility, with four 10-hour days and tiered end-of-day shifts. The typical shift runs from 0700 to 1700, with some shifts extending to 1900 or 2000. Call responsibilities are divided evenly among the team, providing coverage for both weekdays and weekends. The CRNA will participate in a traditional Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model, with an emphasis on team-based collaboration and support.
This facility is a 25-bed hospital featuring one main procedure room and one dedicated endoscopy suite. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide anesthesia for a wide range of cases, including general surgery, gynecology, ENT, urology, orthopedics, gastrointestinal, interventional radiology, endoscopy, electrophysiology, MRI, and ophthalmology. Required procedures include general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), regional anesthesia such as spinals, and labor epidurals.
All candidates must possess NBCRNA certification and hold (or be eligible for) an active state license. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory. Candidates must also be TEE certified or hold testamur status. While a cardiac anesthesia fellowship is preferred, it is not required. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will work with a supportive team composed of one anesthesiologist and five CRNAs, ensuring a comprehensive, team-based approach to patient care. The environment encourages professional development, knowledge sharing, and mutual support, especially during on-call situations and complex cases.
Applicants will utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management. The rural setting offers a unique opportunity to practice a broad scope of anesthesia with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
