The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Locum Tenens role provides a dynamic opportunity for experienced anesthesia professionals seeking flexible assignments within a reputable health system. This position is designed for certified CRNAs interested in working across two closely coordinated hospital sites, offering exposure to a broad case mix and a supportive, collaborative clinical environment. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care in a supervised team model, participating in a well-organized and efficient healthcare system that values your expertise and commitment to patient safety.

In this locum tenens CRNA opportunity, you will work in a collaborative setting alongside anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals. The assignment features a variety of shift options, including standard 8- and 10-hour shifts as well as longer 12-, 16-, and 24-hour shifts, with some late and weekend coverage available. The flexibility in scheduling allows you to tailor your work to your professional and personal needs, while still ensuring consistent case volume and comprehensive contractor support.

As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing anesthesia care for a diverse range of procedures, primarily focusing on neuro, endoscopy, and radiology cases. The patient population is mainly adult, with limited pediatric exposure, allowing for the development of specialized skills in routine and advanced procedures. You will be part of an anesthesia care team (ACT) model, typically working in a 4:1 supervision ratio with physician anesthesiologists who perform their own blocks and regional anesthesia, while CRNAs place arterial lines. This model fosters a collaborative environment and ensures optimal patient outcomes through shared expertise.

Assignment logistics include floating between two nearby hospitals, with daily notifications regarding your assigned site. The combined daily case volume ranges from approximately 36 to 46 cases across both sites, ensuring a steady and engaging workload. There is no call requirement, and a 40-hour guarantee is available, providing stability and predictability in your schedule. You will receive all-inclusive compensation, with mileage reimbursement or comprehensive packages available, and full contractor support, including malpractice coverage if needed.

This position offers the advantage of working in a vibrant metropolitan area known for its major airport access, affordable lodging, and thriving suburban communities. The health system is recognized for its organized operations, strong provider support, and a clinical environment that blends routine and advanced casework. This combination makes it an ideal assignment for CRNAs seeking professional growth, work-life balance, and the opportunity to make a positive impact within a respected healthcare network.
