Palm Health Resources is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment at a prominent tertiary teaching hospital in southeast Michigan. Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer safe and effective anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients undergoing general surgical procedures.
- Perform spinal anesthesia and provide anesthesia for neurosurgical cases as required by the surgical schedule.
- Manage patient ventilation intraoperatively, ensuring optimal respiratory status throughout surgical procedures.
- Function within a medically directed anesthesia care team model, collaborating with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Document all aspects of patient care using the Cerner electronic medical record system, maintaining accuracy and compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in a fast-track credentialing process for qualified candidates, ensuring readiness for the assignment start date.
- Adhere to all occupational health clearance requirements, including immunizations and health screenings, prior to commencing the assignment.
- Provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care at all times.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of $220 for all clinical hours worked.
- Reimbursement for mileage and capped lodging expenses (hotel maximum reimbursement up to $150 including taxes).

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the NBCRNA.
- Active and unrestricted Michigan (MI) registered nurse and advanced practice nursing license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Recent experience in anesthesia care, with new graduates welcome to apply; preference given to local candidates.
- Ability to perform required anesthesia procedures, including general surgical anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, and anesthesia for neurosurgical cases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ventilation management and intraoperative monitoring.
- Must be fully immunized in accordance with occupational health standards, including Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella (proof of vaccination or titers), current seasonal flu vaccination, COVID-19 documentation, a TB test (within 12 months), and Tdap (within the past 10 years).

Other Relevant Information
- Assignment duration is from July 1 through September 30, with the possibility of extension.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with no required call responsibilities.
- Approximately three surgical cases per day in a facility with 10 operating rooms.
- Credentialing is streamlined for qualified local providers to ensure a quick start.
- This opportunity provides exposure to both adult and pediatric cases, as well as complex neurosurgical procedures.
