Construction Superintendent - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily field operations, including multiple concurrent projects.
- Implement and enforce comprehensive safety programs, promote team-wide safety participation, and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, blueprints, and applicable building codes.
- Drive the construction schedule and ensure critical milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Collaborate with teams to manage procurement, verify material deliveries, and oversee equipment returns.
- Maintain accurate logs of inventory and material distribution for field personnel.
- Supervise field employees and subcontractors, ensuring efficient work planning and accurate reporting.
- Mentor and lead field teams, supporting professional growth and skill development.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings with stakeholders, subcontractors, and clients to track progress and resolve issues.
- Keep detailed superintendent logs, documenting daily site activities, inspections, and conditions.
- Prepare and submit weekly progress reports to project management teams.
- Establish and sustain trust-based relationships with owners, subcontractors, and project partners.
- Review subcontractor and vendor submissions, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Champion a culture of quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction across all jobsite activities.
- Approve personnel actions including hiring, transfers, and wage decisions in coordination with management.
- Participate in and lead project planning, offering creative, practical solutions to construction challenges.
- Mentor and support craft workers, supervisors, and engineering staff to uphold company standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in construction supervision, specifically in multifamily or hotel projects.
- Strong understanding of construction trades and the ability to interpret plans and specifications.
- OSHA 10-hour certification or equivalent safety training; CPR/First Aid certified.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project; advanced knowledge of Procore preferred.
- Familiarity with BIM, LEAN, and LEED construction practices is a plus.
- Ability to manage digital images and documents relevant to project management.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
