Cybersecurity Engineer (SSH, CISSP, SSCP) - Summary- Lead the design, implementation, and management of an enterprise SSH key management program
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to integrate security best practices
- Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards
- Contribute to incident response, troubleshooting, and technical documentation
- Work remotely within the United States as part of a high-performing security team
- Design, implement, and manage SSH key management programs, overseeing key generation, distribution, and revocation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive policies, procedures, and standards for SSH key operations
- Integrate SSH key management into existing infrastructure by collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Monitor, report on, and optimize SSH key management system performance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards

- 4+ years of related work experience, including 2+ years in cybersecurity and 2+ years in IT infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of SSH protocols (SSHv1, SSHv2, OpenSSH) and public/private key infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with key management systems (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS KMS, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Solid understanding of networking, application, and operating system security concepts
- Experience with Python scripting for automation and security tooling
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Certifications: SSCP and/or CISSP
