Data Architect - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end data architectures covering ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, lineage, and consumption.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and PySpark for high-volume structured and semi-structured datasets.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security protocols are strictly followed across all data processes.
- Partner with data scientists to prepare and curate datasets for machine learning and feature engineering.
- Operationalize ML models within the data architecture to enhance business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience in data engineering, platform management, or data architecture.
- Previous experience in a formal architect role (Data Architect, Solutions Architect, or Platform Architect required).
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure data platforms, including Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs, Functions, and Key Vault.
- Proficiency in Databricks, Spark, and PySpark, with the ability to implement and discuss technical patterns.
- Demonstrated expertise in data governance, data lineage, security, and quality controls in enterprise settings.
