IDR is seeking a Data Modeler to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Berkeley, NJ or Coral Springs, FL. This role involves delivering enterprise-grade data modeling and architecture, focusing on large, complex data landscapes in both cloud and on-prem environments.
Position Overview for the Data Modeler:
- Deliver enterprise data modeling and architecture to establish strong data governance and standards.
- Create and maintain ERD, Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data models.
- Design data assets for high-performance ODS and near real-time Data Warehouses using Kimball and Inmon principles.
- Lead data modeling sessions with Business, IT, BI, and SME stakeholders to gather requirements and produce prototypes.
- Apply modern design approaches such as DDD, microservices, and Data Mesh for scalable warehouse solutions.
Requirements for the Data Modeler:
- 10+ years designing data assets for high-performance ODS and near real-time data warehouses (Kimball/Inmon).
- 15+ years hands-on experience with a data modeling tool such as erwin.
- 10+ years data analysis and profiling experience in financial services (account, card, payment, and/or digital processing).
- Expert communication skills; able to simplify complex topics and lead workshops with cross-functional partners.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, matrixed environment; strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
