EDI Enrollment Specialist - Summary
The EDI Enrollment Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end EDI enrollment workflow, ensuring claims and remittance processes run smoothly through clearinghouses such as Waystar and similar systems. This position demands strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of EDI agreements, payer requirements, and healthcare transaction protocols. As an EDI Enrollment Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining high data accuracy, meeting regulatory compliance standards, and supporting healthcare providers in resolving enrollment issues efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the enrollment process within EDI clearinghouses, including platforms like Waystar and Availity.
- Complete registration procedures, ensuring all claims and remittance enrollments are accurate and submitted on time.
- Generate, monitor, and follow up on EDI agreements and related accounts with various payers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve enrollment denials, errors, and other correspondence with payers to minimize processing delays.
- Maintain detailed documentation and respond promptly to customer and internal requests related to EDI issues.
- Set up and monitor work groups within EDI platforms, ensuring seamless transaction workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address process improvements and resolve technical challenges.
- Adhere to organizational policies and compliance standards throughout all EDI-related activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in remit and claims enrollment, with a preference for familiarity with Waystar or equivalent EDI clearinghouse platforms.
- Strong knowledge of EDI, ERA, and EFT enrollment procedures within healthcare environments.
- Experience handling rejected and denied claims in Waystar, Availity, or similar systems.
- Ability to set up, monitor, and administer work groups and user permissions within EDI platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all enrollments are accurate and compliant with payer requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for managing internal and external customer relationships.
