Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Summary
- Deliver patient-centered care in emergency and trauma situations
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting to the emergency department based on the severity of their condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered by the medical team
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, and response to treatment
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear updates and compassionate support
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and manage medical equipment commonly used in emergency care settings
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate actions to stabilize and support patient needs
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
- Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education relevant to emergency nursing

Qualifications & Requirements
- Two years of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Valid certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (initial certification required at first available hospital training class)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively under pressure
