Emergency Medicine Physician (EM/ABEM) - Summary- Contract opportunity for a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician (EM/ABEM), or ABIM/ABFP with recent ER experience
- Located in Winchester, VA, within a regional hospital and Level 3 trauma center
- Immediate need for physicians able to cover 5+ shifts per month
- Medium acuity emergency department with 68,000 annual patient visits
- Supportive clinical environment with full staff and multiple emergency physicians on duty
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with diverse complaints and varying acuity levels
- Perform all standard emergency room procedures, including diagnostics, stabilization, and treatment of acute medical and traumatic conditions
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for accurate and timely patient documentation
- Participate in shift work, including day, evening, night, and weekend coverage as needed
- Adhere to hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and quality assurance standards
- Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with best practices in emergency medicine
