As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for building dynamic and engaging learning solutions tailored to adult learners. The primary focus is on creating virtual instructor-led training scripts, while secondary responsibilities include the development of job aids and educational videos. This role requires proficiency in leading eLearning development software such as Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate 360, as well as advanced knowledge of graphic design, animation, and audio tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity, and Audition. By utilizing your extensive background in instructional design, you will conduct needs assessments, work closely with stakeholders, and implement adult learning methodologies to ensure the training materials are relevant, effective, and engaging.
Your day-to-day work as an Instructional Designer involves collaborating with various teams, assessing learning needs, designing curriculum, and overseeing the execution of educational projects from conception to completion. You will be expected to apply your 6-8 years of instructional design experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field to deliver on these objectives. Advanced degrees, such as a Master’s, and certifications like Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD), or ATD Master Instructional Designer are highly valued. Experience working on virtual teams is also preferred, as this role is fully remote and requires seamless digital collaboration.
