Hematologist Oncologist (Hematology/Oncology, BC/BE) – Full-Time
Are you a board-certified or board-eligible Hematology/Oncology physician seeking a rewarding and impactful role in a collaborative healthcare environment? We are seeking a dedicated Hematologist Oncologist to join a thriving outpatient practice, providing expert care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care, collaborate with experienced healthcare professionals, and utilize leading electronic medical record systems in a supportive and forward-thinking setting.
As a Hematologist Oncologist, you will focus on outpatient clinic visits, conduct after-hours phone consultations for established patients, and participate in shared virtual inpatient rounding during weekends. The role does not involve any surgical procedures, ensuring that you can concentrate on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a diverse patient population with hematological and oncological needs. The practice is supported by an advanced practice provider (APP), with recruitment underway for a second APP, as well as experienced medical assistants. Importantly, locum or full-time physicians are not required to supervise APPs, allowing you to focus on direct patient care and clinical decision-making.
The clinic leverages advanced EMR systems, including EPIC and Dragon dictation tools, to streamline patient documentation and enhance workflow efficiency. Candidates should be comfortable managing a caseload and documenting cases involving at least 24 hematology and 24 oncology patients within the past 12 months. The position requires board certification or eligibility in both Hematology and Medical Oncology, in addition to current BLS certification. Consideration will be given to candidates with Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility, and credentialing is typically completed within 30 days, with applications prioritized based on start dates.
