As an IT Support Technician, you will collaborate with a variety of support services to maintain optimal equipment and technical operations for end users. Close partnership with Workstation Support Services will be key, as you assist in managing hardware and software procurement, configuration, and installation. You will serve as a technical liaison in the field, providing on-site support and leveraging your technical expertise to ensure all workstation needs are met efficiently and securely. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organizational standards for excellent customer service are essential components of this role. In addition, you will utilize ticket tracking software to document all support operations, manage workloads, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT support function.
This IT Support Technician position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of computer-related terminology and demonstrate the ability to evaluate user requests and deliver appropriate IT solutions. The role also requires physical capability, including lifting up to seventy-five pounds, distinguishing colors for wiring and component work, and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, and kneeling as part of workstation setup and maintenance.
