Working as a Labor and Delivery RN (LDRP Nurse), your primary responsibilities will encompass direct patient care, clinical monitoring, health education, and medical documentation. You will support women throughout the labor and delivery process, provide postpartum care, and manage the transition of newborns, all while adhering to hospital policies and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality. Your ability to adapt to various clinical scenarios and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care will be essential in this position.

Labor and Delivery RN (LDRP Nurse) - Summary
- Full-time, night shift nursing role specializing in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
- Directly supports service members, veterans, and military families within a military medical facility
- Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Focus on high-quality, patient-centered care and clinical excellence
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor triage patients, including continuous fetal monitoring, labor checks, and assessment of pre-term labor risks
- Perform continuous patient monitoring, vital sign assessment, and cervical examinations
- Administer intravenous therapies including fluids, Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antibiotics, and blood products
- Provide pain management and monitor patient status during epidural and intravenous narcotics administration
- Assist providers with labor inductions, artificial rupture of membranes, and delivery procedures (including operative deliveries)
- Prepare patients for C-sections and provide pre-operative support and emotional care
- Perform newborn transition procedures such as baths, immunizations, assessments, and breastfeeding support
- Stabilize high-risk patients for transport when necessary
- Deliver patient and family education on postpartum and newborn care
- Support C-section deliveries in the operating room as a circulating nurse
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical records
- Deliver family-centered care to women and infants, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted RN license in a US state or territory
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Labor & Delivery, LDRP, or related area
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-Advanced (NRP) certification preferred
- US Citizenship required
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and federal holidays
