We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Oncologist (MD/DO) to join our healthcare team on a full-time basis. This opportunity is available for a board-certified Medical Oncologist to provide exceptional cancer care services in a collaborative and supportive environment. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality oncology care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients dealing with various types of cancers.
As a Medical Oncologist MD/DO, you will play a vital role in patient diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of oncology patients. This position offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population and to utilize the latest technology and evidence-based practices in cancer care. You'll have the support of an experienced team, including another physician, medical assistant, registered nurse, social worker, dietician, navigators, and an infusion nurse, all of whom are committed to patient-centered care.
The position requires full-time coverage, with shifts scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On-call responsibilities are included, operating on a 1:8 ratio. You will be responsible for managing a census of approximately 11-13 patients, with 32 patient-facing hours each week. The hospital utilizes the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring seamless documentation and coordination of care across the care team.
To be considered for the Medical Oncologist MD/DO position, candidates must hold current board certification and possess an active state medical license. Candidates with at least three to five years of experience are preferred, and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If you do not currently hold a state license, there is a willingness to sponsor and expedite the licensing process for qualified providers. The credentialing process is streamlined for timely onboarding.
