As a Paramedic (EMT-P) in this full-time position, you will leverage your expertise in basic and advanced life support to identify, manage, and document patient care, ensuring rapid and coordinated emergency medical service (EMS) response under medical oversight. You will be instrumental in assessing patients, communicating findings, coordinating EMS transportation, and performing rehabilitation and medical release procedures. Your role will be integral to a comprehensive EMS response, contributing directly to the health and operational readiness of those who serve our nation.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, athletic trainers, sports medicine providers, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals—to ensure the highest standard of medical care within dynamic and sometimes challenging environments. As part of the team, you will perform medical monitoring, respond to emergencies during aquatic and land-based training events, and ensure that all medical interventions are properly documented and communicated to the appropriate authorities.

Paramedic (EMT-P) - Summary
- Deliver high-quality emergency medical services in support of military personnel, veterans, and their families.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment protocols per local and national guidelines.
- Provide triage for individuals unable to participate in training due to medical or musculoskeletal reasons.
- Refer stable patients to physicians or athletic trainers as appropriate; activate EMS and arrange transport for unstable patients.
- Offer medical coverage and monitoring during training events, including aquatic and land-based modules.
- Respond to and stabilize emergencies such as physical trauma, heat stroke, and near-drowning incidents.
- Summarize injury details and emergency care provided for transitioning patients to receiving EMS responders.
- Maintain, inventory, and clean medical supplies, equipment, and clinical spaces.
- Collaborate daily with medical directors, supervisors, and other paramedics for appropriate oversight and direction.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of injuries, treatments, rehabilitation, and medical releases.
- Participate in travel and site visits as needed to observe and support training operations.
- Comply with all documentation and reporting requirements, including updates to relevant medical tracking databases.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Current National EMT-P Certification (National Registry) or state paramedic license.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant paramedic experience within the last 5 years.
- U.S. Citizenship required.

- Flexible with work hours, including non-standard schedules and travel as required to support training needs.
Other Relevant Information
- The Paramedic (EMT-P) role may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires the ability to lift up to 100 lbs., as well as perform strenuous physical activities such as running, jumping, crawling, and moving through obstacles.
