Pediatric Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive anesthesia care to pediatric patients from infancy through young adulthood, including trauma, congenital cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, transplant, and other high-complexity cases.
- Administer anesthesia in a variety of settings: operating rooms, cardiovascular ORs, cath labs, interventional radiology, MRI, CT, and bedside procedures.
- Perform regional anesthesia (including caudal blocks), invasive line placements, and manage airway and cardiac cases as required.
- Participate in a care team model with 1:1 or 2:1 CRNA-to-case ratios, adapting to the complexity of each case.
- Maintain a 24/7 CRNA presence for trauma, airway, and cardiac backup, without routine overnight case coverage.
- Engage in self-scheduling, choosing from 8, 10, 13, or 24-hour shifts to support your personal and professional needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for pediatric patients.
- Contribute to teaching, leadership, or research activities if desired.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Eligibility for licensure as a CRNA in the state of Florida.
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Demonstrated ability to provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients in high-acuity and complex clinical environments.
- Commitment to collaborative, patient- and family-centered care.
