Pediatrician (MD/DO, Pediatrics) - Summary
- Permanent, full-time outpatient pediatrician position
- Serve infants, children, and adolescents in a collaborative care environment
- Start date: January 26th, 2026; End date: January 23rd, 2027
- Schedules include Monday through Friday, with one Saturday and two evening shifts per month
- Utilize Athena EMR for efficient and secure patient documentation
- Credentialing process typically completed in 60 to 90 days; emergency privileges available
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive examinations and provide preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic care for pediatric patients
- Diagnose and manage a variety of childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental issues
- Educate patients and families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, nutrition, and overall wellness
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory studies and imaging
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records using Athena EMR
- Participate in a call schedule that includes an occasional Saturday and limited evening shifts
- Collaborate with ancillary healthcare providers and refer to specialists when necessary
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education and adherence to evidence-based practices

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Pediatrics
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
- Active NY state medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Active NY DEA registration
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Experience working with Athena EMR preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
