Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) - Summary
- Opportunity for board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians (MD/DO)
- Locum tenens assignment with flexibility for full-time or part-time work onsite
- Serve a senior patient panel within a value-based care model
- Work alongside a team of compassionate, mission-driven healthcare professionals
- Position based in the Norfolk, VA area
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to a panel of senior patients, focusing on preventive medicine and chronic disease management
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate closely with care coordination teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Utilize a proprietary EMR system to streamline documentation and workflow
- Engage in a value-based care model, aiming to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Maintain a manageable patient volume (approximately 18-21 patients per day) to foster relationship-driven care
- Commit to a 3-6 month locum assignment, with potential for ongoing opportunities
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive compensation at $155/hr (equivalent to $322,000 per year)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Virginia medical license or the ability to obtain licensure
- Experience with Medicare Advantage or value-based care preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
