Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the hospital’s Sepsis Program through evidence-based interventions.
- Promote early sepsis detection and timely, standardized treatment across all clinical units.
- Develop, implement, and facilitate ongoing staff education and competency assessments related to sepsis identification and management.
- Monitor, collect, and analyze sepsis-related data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain regulatory readiness and ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and other relevant standards.
- Provide clinical expertise and consultation to healthcare teams regarding sepsis protocols and best practices.
- Foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and quality improvement professionals.
- Prepare reports and present findings to hospital leadership, quality committees, and regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Active California RN license in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 2 years in ICU, Emergency Department, or other high-acuity settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in sepsis care, clinical education, and quality improvement processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Preferred: Advanced certifications such as CCRN, CEN, CIC, or experience in quality improvement or program coordination.
