The Snowflake Database Administrator (Snowflake DBA) oversees the daily operations, security, and performance of the Snowflake data platform. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the Snowflake platform to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient operation across multiple environments.
- Implement and administer role-based access control (RBAC), data access governance, and user provisioning processes aligned with enterprise identity and access management (IAM) frameworks.
- Support AI-enabled analytics by enabling and monitoring Snowflake Cortex capabilities, ensuring proper governance and operational oversight.
- Build, maintain, and support data pipelines and transformations utilizing DBT and workflow orchestration tools such as Openflow or similar technologies.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance within the Snowflake environment.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and document platform issues while proactively identifying areas for performance tuning and cost reduction.
- Design, implement, and manage Snowflake roles, privileges, and user access controls to ensure consistent and secure data accessibility.
- Integrate Snowflake with enterprise SSO solutions, including Okta and SailPoint, for streamlined and compliant user authentication.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience administering the Snowflake data platform in a DBA or administrative capacity.
